It’s been reported that Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani have been allowed special leave by the club to head back to Australia where they will self isolate for two weeks.

The bhoys were supposed to be back at Lennoxtown on Tuesday but it appears as if the players have been given more time off until Celtic have more information.

We reported yesterday Daniel Arzani had made the trip to Australia but RecordSport have revealed Tom has also gone down under.

“Celtic have granted Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani leave to return to Australia amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“The Parkhead club are in lockdown with Scottish football halted for an indefinite period while authorities attempt to suppress the outbreak.”

With so much uncertainty, the club have done the right thing and let their players fly home to be with family.

Other Celtic players may be allowed the same dispensation to head elsewhere in the mean time if travel permits.

There will likely be at least some warning before the season is either back or they’re told football will return. It’s incumbent on the players to keep themselves fit in the interim if they’ve to stay away from Lennoxtown.
