Celtic have today wished all of their followers a happy Valentine’s Day and as you can imagine, it’s gone down like a led balloon.

Some people will be asking why — it’s very simple really. The club have delivered no meaningful communication with the support since Peter Lawwell apologised for the Dubai trip, even then that was a contrived, in-house three minute clip.

The fans have asked for answers and where this club is going. Instead, some have joked we’ve turned into a virtual moonpig club — wishing many former players a Happy Birthday and marking days like Valentine’s Day while the fans still sit looking for answers.

It’s fair to say most posts underneath the original Celtic posts are not kind and while we don’t partake in any kind of social media protest like others do, we can understand their frustration and bewilderment. Perhaps the social media team should read the room.

Celtic have failed majorly this season and not just on the pitch, their governance of the fans has not been good enough and has given way to protests and anger online.

Celtic fans are in the horrible position of not being able to sound out their anger at the stadium nowadays and with every passing social media post, the more frustrated they get.

Take the day off.
