With last night’s disappointing result, meaning we exited the Champions League at the qualifying stages once again, it also resulted in the return of Thursday/Sunday game week schedules.
Today, supporters were given the new dates for up-and-coming home fixtures next month.
The Hoops first home league game, in front of a crowd, was originally to be played on Saturday the 7th of August but has now been switched to Sunday the 8th.

So the 24,500 returning home fans will have to wait an extra day for their return to Parkhead.
As well as this news, the club announced that our Premier Sports last 16 tie, at home to Hearts would be played on Sunday the 15th of August, kicking off at 3:00 PM as part of the TV schedule for that weekend but also following the 2nd leg of our 3rd round Europa League qualifying fixture.

Of course, fans will be buzzing in anticipation of making their long-awaited return to Celtic Park.
But I am sure they would much rather it was under better circumstances if we could have advanced to the next round of Champions League qualifying.
