Joe Hart to Celtic is in doubt with the club reportedly looking around Europe beyond the candidates already mentioned to this point the Telegraph reports.

There has been rumours for weeks Celtic and the player’s reps have been thrashing out a deal but if there’s interest still there it appears to be fizzling out.

Joe Hart is a free agent and Celtic are looking for a goalkeeper of real quality who can fill the gloves left by Fraser Forster. This is where Nicky Hammond and his team need to earn their money.

Celtic thought they didn’t have to worry about a goalkeeper next season. Neil Lennon has stated he was led to believe Fraser was set to return to the club in another loan deal but the player himself went cold on the idea.

Celtic are now in a race against time to get someone in the door before the start of the season. Scott Bain is likely to start the campaign as our first team goalkeeper, and the bhoys will have until the start of October to bring someone in to challenge the Scottish stopper.
