ALFREDO MORELOS missed the last part of the season due to injury, with the Columbian striker unable to play a role in The Rangers’ only cup win of the season.

After they’d bottled the League, and Celtic had stolen six points from them, with an emphatic win at home before a comeback at Ibrox, they decided that the League didn’t matter and that they’d put all their eggs into one Euro basket. That didn’t end well for them!

After being tipped to win all three trophies in Scotland and their arrogance deciding they’d won the Europa League final before a ball was kicked, it’s been a poor season for the Ibrox club – although you wouldn’t know it from their usual rhetoric and mental gymnastics.

Alfredo Morelos has decided to tweet a photo of him with the Scottish Cup, with the caption “Let’s go champions”.

I’m not too sure that winning the Scottish Cup makes you champions. I think the League would, though. Winning a trophy is always a great occasion and should never be talked down, but at the same, let’s call it like it is – they’re Scottish Cup winners. Yes, you could argue winning a trophy makes you a champion and technically you’d be correct but the use of it among their players and support, while Celtic are League Champions, is all rather tinpot.

Postecoglou and his side will set off on their title defence in a few months. But, first, his team must rest up before returning to pre-season in just over a month.

  1. He should be happie along with all Sevco fans. As they are pretty new to the league structure. Apart from last seasons title* this is the second major trophy they won since formation. 55 titties sums up their year.

Their fans children think otherwise, but the one eye’d man, is king in the kingdom of the blind.
