CELTIC have seen some top players go out the door this window and apart from a flurry at the start of the summer – Celtic have gone quiet on with regards to incomings.

So far Celtic have signed Christoper Jullien, Hatem Elhamed, Luca Connell and Boli Bolingoli.

Defensive reinforcements and one for the future – however, it’s clearly not enough and with Celtic selling Kieran Tierney to Arsenal, there is a hunger for the club to pull out all the stops in the coming weeks.

With that in mind, SunSport are reporting Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell are set for transfer talks this week in what could be the biggest meeting of the season.

“It is said that Lenny is poised to hold talks with chief executive Peter Lawwell and his recruitment department this week as they look to strengthen their squad for the domestic and potentially European campaign ahead.” the paper writes.

Peter Lawwell always makes the statement he wants to come out of a transfer window stronger than when we went it but not even he could keep a straight face if he tried to say that right now.

Celtic have lost some very influential players both on and off the park. Guys like Tierney and Lustig were big influences in the dressing room.

While the bhoys have been doing well so far, they need help and it’s up to Neil Lennon to make sure he holds Peter Lawwel to account and gets as much money as possible for recruitment.

  1. Look you get nothing for being second if you want SG and his team to take our crown then Peter Lawwell just keep the money to show the share holders the books with money in the bank, but also tell them we will win nothing and never get beyond the first or second CL rounds and with fans not buying seats we will fall from grace in one season we will be the team doing catch up and having to spend big money for new faces i do know you do understand this.
The only way forward is for Peter Lawwell is to stump up at the very least £15 million but it should be the £25 million from KT to be given to the manager that the board picked so he can bring in three new players and pay money for one loan deal signing if he wants to in this window to keep us in front of the catch up crew to do nothing would be a very silly move ..
Do it Celtic back the manager or you run the risk of fans not buying seats in there thousands you can bank on that….

  2. Just because we have money in the bank doesn’t mean we have to throw it away just for the sake of it. Peter Lawwell has a business to run and there’s a balance to be struck. Celtic fans should be glad that we have him in charge of finances. Its down to him as well as Dermot Desmond and Fergus McCann that the club has been at the top of the tree over the past 20 odd years or so and there are a lot of big clubs in England who want P.L.s services so we should be thankful he’s at the helm. I am fed up listening to a lot of ex Celtic players telling Peter what he should do and how to spend money most of whom are failed managers and business men that end up on T.V. panels who make their name just criticising. Yes we could throw money all over the shop then end up bankrupt.

  3. All a bit late for a meeting now is it not ? Meeting should have been weeks ago … CL gone again along with another £30m+ just by being involved … Niavity and arrogance 2 yrs running has cost us probably £70m … Investing â…“ of that would almost guarantee qualifying I would say …
Being dragged backwards closer to dead FC will end in disaster
