LAZIO have today been charged by UEFA for ‘racist behaviour’ it has emerged.

The Italian club are set for a double header against the Scottish champions in the next two games of the Europa League but their away day could be hit by a stand closure after they already had a partial stand closure for the Rennes game.

Italian football has been engulfed with racial problems and chants coming from the stands for some time now. UEFA must take a hard line against any club who is seen to be partaking in this kind of behaviour.

The hearing will take place on October 17th where Lazio will find out their punishment.

Celtic have been fined by UEFA already this season but for pyro and crowd disturbance.

The bhoys are set to bring a bumper crowd to Rome on match day four and could drown out the home support if UEFA hit Lazio with a heavy punishment.
