LAZIO are taking no chances when it comes to Celtic fans trying to put out any banners with ‘political sentiment’ inside the Stadio Olimpico next week and have warned any banners which aren’t Celtic related will not be permitted inside the stadium.

Celtic supporters used the home fixture against Lazio to make their feelings known about the fascist element of their support who were seen in Glasgow earlier in the day making nazi salutes to the general public.

Lazio don’t want to be shown up in any capacity especially during a game where a section of their stadium will be closed due to some fans taking part in racially motivated behaviour.

The official line from Celtic which they have got from Lazio is below:

Banners will be checked on arrival and must be Celtic only, no banners or flags with any political sentiment or mention of any other football team or organisation will be permitted.

There is a whole host of rules and regulations the Celtic support must follow when over in Rome but there’s still expected to be a bumper support after Lazio handed over more than 9k briefs to the club which have gone on sale to Celtic season ticket holders.

We wonder if any banners will slip past security.
