Leigh Griffiths is set to sign a short term deal until the end of the season with Falkirk according to sources at Sky Sports.

The striker is a free agent after Celtic released Leigh from the final six months of his deal back in January.

Dundee signed Leigh in the summer on loan from the Hoops but the deal went sour. At first Dundee wanted to send the front man back to Celtic. When the Hoops refused they cut ties with Griffiths altogether and allowed him to go negotiate a deal elsewhere.

Falkirk look to be the latest team to take a chance on the frontman.

Leigh had a good spell at Celtic initially and scored some great goals. The longer he was at the club, he became more of a distraction than anything else.

Does he still have enough about him to get among the goals? Falkirk will certainly be hoping it’s the case.
