Since Brendan Rodgers left Celtic in February there has been a lot of lazy journalism linking Celtic players with a move away from the club to rejoin the former Parkhead boss.

However, the print version of Mail Sport have made the claim a Leicester scout was at Celtic Park for the win against Lazio.

Cited by SunSport the article reads: “According to the Daily Mail, Leicester scout Sean St Ledger was in attendance at Celtic Park to watch Hoops star Ajer.

“Their reported interest comes as former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers looks to replace Harry Maguire, who left the Foxes for Manchester United during the summer.”

Kristoffer Ajer had a bit of a shaky spell but he seems to be coming through the other end of it now. The Norwegian is a born leader and is always developing. The player’s reputation is growing and there’s no doubt the money men at Celtic Park have their eye on him as a potential big sale at some point over the next few years.

Rodgers helped develop Ajer and sent him out on loan to Kilmarnock during his time as Celtic boss.

Filip Benkovic can’t get into the current Leicester side at the moment and if he tries to bring another centre back into Leicester in January it could spell the end for Filip at the club.
