LEIGH GRIFFITHS has been charged by Police Scotland after kicking pyro back into the St Johnstone crowd midweek SunSport has confirmed.

The player who is still on Celtic’s books until next summer has been loaned out to Dundee after courting controversy this summer.

Instead of getting his head down, the striker has chosen to act in a way not befitting of a professional footballer. We understand the vile chant that was aimed at Leigh before the incident would have enraged the striker but he has to take a step back.

Dundee have taken a big chance on the player when many others wouldn’t and he’s not repaying them well.

Now charged by the Police, Leigh could also face a heft ban from the governing body over the incident.

Leigh is a talented player, but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen the best of the striker. He seems so far away from the man who scored for fun under Ronny Deila.
