He finally got his European start last night and bhoy did he make the most of it. Within 3 minutes he had already calmly slotted it past the Malmo Keeper to make it 1-0 so early on.

His second, a looping header that h had no real right to score but managed to find its way across the line. If it weren’t for Leigh Celtic would not be in the drivers seat in this tie.

Last minute goal or not, Celtic are still on the front-foot and it’s thanks to the efforts of the players and Leigh’s goal-scoring prowess. He took to twitter this morning to speak to the support:

‘I couldn’t have dreamed of a better birthday than 2 goals on a Champions League night in Paradise. Fans were incredible from start to finish. We go again on Sat away to Dundee Utd’

The striker will be confident he can breach the Malmo defence again on Tuesday but until then it’s back to league business.

Hail Hail Leigh!
