The Leigh Griffiths sideshow will NOT be in-play during Celtic’s crucial qualifier in Denmark on Wednesday according to SunSport.

The newspaper claim the Celtic striker has not flown with his teammates due to a calf injury.

Leigh came on during the second half of the West Ham drubbing at Celtic Park and was rejected by a lot of fans in the ground who jeered him when he was on the ball.

There has been calls for Leigh to leave the club after his latest episode saw the Celtic frontman be subject to investigation by the Police. The authorities didn’t find any criminality but there are fans who believe the player’s behaviour means he should no longer represent the club.

It looks like he won’t be in Denmark at least, having just signed a new one-year deal. Celtic would have to sell Leigh if they wanted him to go this summer.

Otherwise, we could see the striker play out the final year of his deal at odds with a lot of the support.
