LEIGH GRIFFITHS finally made his comeback against Livingston as a second half substitute on Saturday afternoon, almost three months to the day since his last appearance for the club.

The player has struggled with his overall fitness as well as picking up an injury and virus along the way. It has been a difficult year for the striker, with personal reasons keeping him out for a long time before he came back to the club in the summer.

Now he’s fit again and Celtic have a lot of games before the end of the season, the player is set to get his chance to hit the goal trail. He was unlucky not to do so on Saturday and his rustiness might have been to blame for not putting away a certain goal in the second half.

It was a good outing for Leigh who was getting into the positions to make an impact – the goals will come in the near future if he continues in the same vein.

After the game, the player took to social media to post his delight.
