LEIGH GRIFFITHS has REJECTED a deal with Dundee to consider his options elsewhere it has emerged.

RecordSport claims the striker, who was in the stands for the Dundee Derby on Tuesday night has turned down Dundee’s offer and could be heading to a team closer to his old stomping ground in Glasgow.

Queens Park are said to be interested in bringing the striker into the fold.

If you haven’t been paying attention to Queens Park, they have a plan and set up in place to push up the divisions with their ultimate goal being the Scottish Premiership.

They have used Celtic loans to help prop up their squad in recent times but now could go after the recently released Celtic striker to help fire them up the divisions.

Leigh let himself down badly the past two years at the Hoops. Coming back after lockdown overweight and unfit, and when he did get a last chance this summer, he almost instantly blew it and was loaned out to Dundee.

When things weren’t working out at his loan club and they wanted to send him back, it was Celtic’s decision to cut ties with the player and allow him to negotiate his own deal with the club. The pair have failed to reach an agreement and looked to have parted ways.

  1. So sad to see someone waste his talent like that.
Self-inflicted -should have taken Brendan’s advice to live as a professional but instead now he looks all washed up at only 31

  2. Couldn’t agree more with you Bunnet. I hope he has invested his money wisely. In stocks and shares or property.
