Leigh Griffiths has spoke out after his deadline day switch to Dundee.

The striker started the season penning a one-year deal with the club before he got sent home from the club’s training camp after an online incident.

The former Scotland international was cleared by police and brought back into the fold. After that, Leigh played against West Ham in a friendly where he received audible jeers from a section of the Celtic support.

Leigh would not feature competitively at all for the club this term before both he and Celtic cut their losses and worked out a loan move to Dundee.

The frontman will see out the season with Dundee and his Celtic contract will finish.

Asked about the move, Leigh said he just wants to be judged for his football:

People will say I come with a lot of baggage but I just want to be judged on what I do on the pitch and on the training ground,” he told STV.

“James [McPake]has seen me over the years, played against me, trained with me. He knows what I can do and that I’ve still got it.

“The last couple of training sessions have been great and I’m looking forward to another few days of training before we play Livingston next week.”

Griffiths will likely not play against Celtic this season with the deal being a loan.
