John Hartson says he couldn’t be happier after Leigh Griffiths surpassed the Welshman in the Celtic scoring charts.
Leigh was on the same amount of goals as the former Celtic striker (111 goals) before the game against Motherwell midweek. The striker scored the all important second of the night to put some distance between the sides and in doing so, surpasses John’s tally.
Stood for 14 years ! Couldn’t be more happier for Leigh.. now go and get yourself 200. ????? https://t.co/ElErEqYPbR

Leigh would have hit this landmark feat a long time ago had circumstances been different but there was a point in time where it looked like he’s never go past it.
It’s testament to Leigh’s mettle and determination to get back into the Celtic side and get firing again.
The player has had a great start to the year as he and Leigh Griffiths tear up the league.
Celtic are up against Clyde on Sunday where Leigh will want to add to his goal count and surpass more Celtic players of the past.
