LEIGH GRIFFITHS has this afternoon come out and thanked everyone who has sent their well wishes to him since Wednesday’s announcement.
Brendan Rodgers told the media at a pre-match press conference that his Celtic star would be taking a leave of absence from the game in order to fight personal battles away from football.
Since that announcement, there has been an outpouring of emotions from not just the Celtic family but the football family as a whole.
Leigh has been inundated with messages and he took the time to speak to the official Celtic site today to express his gratitude.
“I thank you all sincerely and want to let you know I’m doing all I can to come back as soon as possible, a better and stronger person.”
