LEIGH GRIFFITHS is set to attend a meeting to decide whether he will see out the remainder of his loan spell at Dundee.

The striker has been in poor form in front of the goal, scoring only twice. The latest of his goals was a wonder free-kick against Aberdeen on boxing day.

However, despite some outlets reporting that Griffiths could be on the road back to Glasgow, it looks as if the player could remain with James McPeake’s and his side until his loan contract expires if the outcome of the meeting is so.

The manager will meet with the player and the managing director John Nelms soon to discuss the coming and goings. [The Scotsman]

Last summer, Celtic came to an agreement on a short term deal with the former Scottish international, which would extend his stay at Celtic until the summer of 2022.

Ultimately, Leigh did not act professionally on or off the field and ruined his Parkhead career for himself in the end.

It is almost certain his contract at Celtic will not be renewed and he will be searching for a new club extremely soon.
