CELTIC have been handed somewhat of a boost in their pursuit of European football after Christmas with the news Emil Forsberg is OUT of the Leipzig squad for their match with Celtic on Thursday.
Forsberg is one of the German side’s real creative threats and will be a big miss for Leipzig.
Speaking about his injury worries, the Leipzig manager admitted it’s not just Emil who looks likely to miss out.
Rangnick said: “Emil will probably be out until after the international break.
“The Celtic game will come too soon for him
.“We also have a problem with Jean-Kevin, who has a stomach muscle strain. We don’t know how long that could keep him out for.”
Celtic have a lot of injury lay-offs too; Scott Brown, Leigh Griffiths, Jozo Simunoivc, Daniel Arzani, Eboue Kouassi and Cristian Gamboa are all out.
Mulumbu is not match sharp and Olivier Ntcham was reportedly held back from playing Hearts as a precaution.
This Celtic side are flying in the league but they must now show their European credentials.
Two losses on the road means the Leipzig home game is a must win for the bhoys on matchday four.
