MARIAN SHVED joined up with his Celtic teammates after officially making the move from Ukraine.

With the excitement around the young winger coming in, there was speculation online which suggested Marian could be eligible for the Scottish Cup Final.

Neil Lennon has dashed those hopes by confirming the player can’t be used in the Scottish Cup tie.

Celtic fans have been keeping a close eye on the player since January when he was initially signed by the club and loaned back out to Karpaty.

Shved looks like an exciting young player and someone who can help us get our spark back this pre-season with a view to charging ahead for nine in a row.

Celtic will go into the Scottish Cup with their current squad and will hopefully be able to call on both Kieran Tierney and James Forrest come next Sunday with Neil Lennon confirming both should be ok to start the game at Hampden.

  1. I think this one is a gem,and Celtic need to look for more players from that area of the world you can buy them for couple of million and put them on good wages that will not bust the bank, and they will give there all for the club…,

  2. Why was it a mystery that needed clearing up in the first place? He was on loan, and can’t return outside of a window to be part of the playing squad.
Look at what happened to Clyde this year.
