NEIL LENNON spoke to press other than Sky Sports before the game this evening and revealed he has spoken to Peter Lawwell about his press conference.

More importantly, the Celtic manager says he still stands by his comments and he doesn’t control Celtic’s social media if they don’t want to repeat what he says.

Speaking to SunSport, the manager said: “I’ve been building up to tonight for a few weeks now and some of tonight’s players haven’t played since the Rangers game.

“So they are very motivated to get out and play tonight.

“I covered everything I wanted to say in my press conference and stand by what I said.

“I don’t control the social media.

“I have spoken to Peter Lawwell and that will remain confidential.”

Neil Lennon has had the whole of Scotland’s football media analysing his words over the past 48 hours. He has stood by his words that he will not speak to Sky Sports, although Celtic have allowed players out for interviews.

The Celtic manager seems like he’s on borrowed time at the club and a change will be made sooner rather than later.

Celtic fans are looking for something different after the sharp decline of the team over the past 18 months.
