Neil Lennon has been speaking with Sun Sport from his Austrian base camp as the Celts look to sharpen their tools in their pre-season preparations. One very noticeable absentee from proceedings has been Kieran Tierney.
With so much speculation around his future, maybe Kieran Tierney’s rehab is a blessing in disguise for Celtic fans. Speaking from Austria Lennon confirmed the player has now returned to Scotland.
“Kieran Tierney has also gone back to Scotland to finish his rehab.”
Tierney has been heavily linked with Arsenal over the past few weeks, luckily for Celtic fans, Arsenal doesn’t have a clue on Tierney’s true value. They also don’t seem to have the funds to come up with Celtic’s value of their prized asset.
It is rumoured that the Arsenal transfer kitty has been slashed due to their failure to not qualify for this seasons Champions League. If they thought that Tierney was in the bargain buy section they have been sadly mistaken.
The young left-back found last season tough going with injuries, playing so many games at such a young age seems to have taken its toll as the player went under the knife at the end of the season. Celtic fans will be hoping their player has an injury free season and more importantly that he is wearing the Hoops.
