Neil Lennon has made some massive calls ahead of today’s Glasgow derby. The Irishman will have a few Celtic fans head-scratching this morning after he declared midweek that he had a full-strength squad to chose from.
No Celtic fan could have predicted a starting 11 with Mikey Johnston and Oli Burke in it. Jonny Hayes for Tierney is probably understandable with Kieran battling through a pain barrier in lieu of some much-needed surgery.
Celtic might not need a win today at Ibrox with the league trophy already in the Celtic Park trophy room. Fans will still want to see some sort of effort from fringe players that Lennon has chosen to put faith in today. Oli Burke has failed to impress in his last few outings and he will need to prove today that he is worth pursuing for next season. Mikey Johnston is a hot prospect and he was thrown into the Ibrox starting 11 back in December but he failed to deliver on that occasion.
