The recent visit of Hibs to Celtic Park served up a cracking game, as well as a chance for the Celtic fans to welcome back the former Hoops boss Neil Lennon.

The Irishman was warmly received by a sell-out crowd, as well as getting a touch-line hug from our current manager, Brendan Rodgers.

Then it was down to business, with Hibs coming close to halting our amazing domestic unbeaten run. That 2-2 draw kept us on track though, and we are now 59 games unbeaten domestically.

Now we once again approach a meeting against Hibs, this time at Hampden in Saturday’s Betfred Cup semi-final.

This is an important game for Celtic; It’s not just another game it’s the defence of our treble!

Whilst we still hold Neil Lennon in some esteem, and remember our own personal favourites whilst he was in charge – Barcelona 2-1 at home, Rod Stewart greetin’ like a big baby…anyone? – We can be forgiven for suddenly believing in Lenny’s Hampden Hoodoo. Lennon’s record at Hampden was poor. Successive defeats in league cup finals to Sevco then Kilmarnock, a Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Hearts and a league cup semi-final loss against St Mirren.

That unlucky run at Hampden only ended in the season of 2013-2014 because we didn’t even get as far as any semi-final stage of either cup competitions! Of course, we did celebrate two trophy wins at Hampden under Neil Lennon, but we all remember the feeling that there was some kind of curse going on. Nonsense, of course (probably!), but let’s hope that hoodoo continues for Lennon as the Celts charge on to another final and ultimately keep ANOTHER treble-winning season on track!

Hail Hail the Celts are Here!
