Liam Shaw is yet to be announced as a Celtic player on the official website but according to RecordSport the Sheffield Wednesday player will still make the move to Glasgow this summer, despite Neil Lennon’s exit.

Shaw was announced by Neil Lennon two weeks ago but just before the manager left the club he refused to answer any more questions on Shaw, leading to people assuming the deal might not be done.

This isn’t the case and Shaw will provide competition in the midfield next season for whoever is in charge at the club.

Neil Lennon resigned as Celtic manager on Wednesday morning after the news broke on Tuesday night. The Irishman failed in his remit to land ten in a row and while he is a club legend, the season was a disaster and he had to pay the price.

Supporters have wanted the manager out for months now and they got their wish this week. It’s too late to save the league and it’s all about next season.
