Brendan Rodgers confirmed earlier today that Celtic winger Liel Abada is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Now, the player himself has commented on the situation.
On Instagram, Abada posted, saying his injury will keep him ‘out of the game for a longer period than expected’, and that he is ‘beginning rehabilitation’ in order to come back as fast as he can. The full post, which included pictures of Abada in Celtic and Isreal kits, can be viewed below:
The 21-year-old will most certainly be a big miss for Celtic over the next few months. Already this season, Abada has a goal and an assist in four league appearances, although Brendan Rodgers is not short of options in the wide areas.
The likes of Luis Palma, Daizen Maeda, and Hyun-jun Yang will receive an increase in minutes and opportunities with the injury. Those players will be keen to take their chances and come to the fore for the Bhoys domestically and in the Champions League.
