CELTIC winger Liel Abada had to cut short a training session with his country on Monday after pulling up with a suspected hamstring issue. The Hoops midfielder is on International duty with Israel and there was talk of the player returning to Glasgow early after the training ground incident.

However, Sport 5 is reporting tonight that the injury is not as bad as first feared and Liel will be gradually introduced back into training over the next few days.

It’s good news for Ange Postecoglou who will not want to see any other first team player go down with an injury before the final part of the season. Reo Hatate is being assessed at Lennoxtown over the international break after pulling up against Hibernian. Aaron Mooy couldn’t make the Australia squad because of an injury that kept him out of the weekend’s game and Greg Taylor has also been struggling with an injury.

Liel Abada

The Celtic manager and supporters will be hoping these injuries clear up over the next few weeks. Celtic will be up against Ross County away when they return to action followed quickly by a Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park.

All players mentioned above including Liel Abada have prove their worth in the derby fixture and we hope to have all of them back. Israel and Celtic will certainly be liaising over Liel’s fitness and keeping an eye on things as the week progresses,
