LIEL ABADA is in line to be called up to the Israeli senior team after having to drop down to the under 21s, according to Sport 5.

Before dropping down a level, Abada wasn’t given a fair opportunity with the senior side, coming from off the bench four times in the World Cup Qualifiers. In the 39 minutes he has represented his country, he’s managed to bag an assist.

The winger is set to be integrated into the squad as the nation prepares to build for the future.

Abada will be pleased with this and will be hoping for the opportunity to prove himself at the top level. After having a phenomenal debut season in Glasgow, he’ll look to mirror this form on the international stage and cement his place in the team for future squads.

Abada will get the chance to impress against Albania and Iceland if he’s given the nod from his boss.

The squad will be confirmed on Thursday.
