LIEL ABADA has been putting in extra effort to improve his game this season with the help of Celtic coach Harry Kewell.

The Israeli winger hasn’t had as much game time as he would’ve hoped for, but he has played in every league game for Celtic so far. Only nine of his 26 appearances have been from the start, with Maeda and Jota securing the wide spots in recent months.

Nevertheless, he’s netted nine goals and set up another four, showing that he’s still making a useful contribution when called upon by his manager.

Abada has said he’s been watching videos of Harry Kewell and is looking to learn from the Champions League winner that Ange Postecoglou brought to Celtic Park in the summer.

“I think we can learn a lot from him [Harry Kewell] because he played in the Premier League and had an amazing career.

“I didn’t watch him as I was still young. I don’t remember that. I watched videos after I met him and he was very, very good and had an amazing career.

“It is a pleasure for me to learn from this player. Just work hard and it is very good that he looks after us.”

There are some rumours regarding Liel Abada’s future flying around at the moment, with suggestions that the winger isn’t looking to extend his stay at the club, with his contract to expire in 2026.
