Celtic’s options at right-back have evolved with Kristoffer Ajer occupying the spot at the moment.

The Norwegian taking on the position has freed Duffy up to come back into the side and allows himself to get forward on a more regular basis, charging up the wing.

Jeremie Frimpong had been playing the position but it’s felt the defender lacks the physical defensive instincts at times. Elhamed could have played his last game for the club if they believe he’s heading back to Israel in January, the defender is homesick and may not be any use to Celtic if his heart is set on a move away.

Our back up right back if Ajer had to slot into the centre of defence again would be Frimpong and Anthony Ralston.

It just so happens we spotted the Celtic youth academy graduate in training today. The 22-year-old isn’t fancied by Neil Lennon at all but could he see action this season as a result of circumstances? He’s fit at least, but more than likely the club will be looking to let Anthony go before too long.
