NEW Celtic hero Mikey Johnston took to social media last night to celebrate a fantastic week which culminated in a Celtic park brace for the youngster.
The attacking midfielder seems to be taking a leaf out of Ryan Christie’s book by getting his chance through injury to other players and making the most of it.
After coming on as a late substitute against Hibernian last Sunday, the Celtic youth product looked lively but ultimately the damage was done, and the situation was not recoverable.
On Wednesday night, a first half injury to Odsonne Edouard saw young Mikey get a proper chance to show what he can do, and he did so by grabbing Celtic’s third of the night against Motherwell.
Having impressed in the win over the Steelmen, the youngster kept his place for the visit of Dundee with Odsonne Edouard still nursing an injury. The occasion did not get to young Mikey who grabbed two goals and was one of the best players on the pitch as Celtic turned on the style.
The player has every reason to be excited, and he showed that on his Instagram.
