Luca Connell is just three games into life at Queens Park but so far he has shown exactly what he is all about with his capabilities from set-pieces.

In those three starts for the League 2 side, Connell has had some sort of hand in a goal with his brilliant set-piece deliveries and that trend continued yesterday as Queens Park came away with a 1-0 victory over Stirling Albion to go 10 points clear at the top of the division.

Despite Connell playing his part in the goal that ultimately won the game for the Spiders, it was a fellow loanee in Brody Paterson that impressed, picking up Man of the Match in the game.

The young left-back has started the last three games for Queens Park, playing 90 minutes in each of them. Up against a promotion chaser in Albion, Paterson was solid throughout the game dealing with whatever came his way whilst getting up and down the channels.

At this stage, Queens look to have one hand on the title now with their lead at the top of League 2. So now is a great opportunity for the youngsters out on loan to express themselves and continue to improve.
