Luis Palma could yet find a way back into the Celtic picture under incoming manager Wilfried Nancy.
Palma’s spell at Celtic has always divided opinion.
His numbers were strong with 20 goal contributions in his first season, but he never quite passed the eye test.
There was always a sense that something was missing, and Brendan Rodgers clearly felt the same.
The winger was moved out on loan twice, first to Greece and now to Lech Poznań, where he has rediscovered form with goals and assists both domestically and in Europe.
However, Honduran outlet OnceNoticias now claims Palma’s “situation has changed” since Rodgers’ exit, hinting that a January return to Glasgow can’t be ruled out.
The report suggests Nancy’s arrival could reopen the door for the 25-year-old, even if nothing is guaranteed and the wording stops well short of confirming any plans.
Poznań do hold an option to buy, but recent reports from Poland indicate they may struggle to afford the fee.
That leaves the possibility, however slim at this stage, that Palma could return to Celtic in January and attempt to win over a new manager with a completely different approach to Rodgers.
For now, it’s one to watch rather than one to expect.
Another one to keep an eye on is Maik Nawrocki.
Celtic could shift to a back three under Nancy, and is short of central defenders.
The Polish defender, currently on loan at Hannover, has been impressing in recent weeks, playing on the right and the left of a back three in the second tier of German football.
