Former Celtic player and youth product Liam Henderson has reacted after his little brother put in a man of the match performance against Motherwell on his first Celtic Park start.

Henderson who now plays in Italy with Hellas Verona was watching every minute of young Ewan’s full first team debut and he was delighted with what he saw.

The bhoys won 4-1 against a Motherwell side who grabbed their goal in the most pathetic of ways when they should have sportingly returned the ball to Celtic.

However, it didn’t make a difference on the day with Celtic being too much for the Steelmen, even if they try their best to get any sort of positive result.

Ewan came into the middle of the park and played very well, setting up Edouard’s first of the day and Celtic’s second with a fine cross. Brendan Rodgers has proven he will play youngsters in his team if he believes they possess the talent and that philosophy paid off for the bhoys on Sunday.

Ewan’s big brother was proud of his performance.
