DAIZEN MAEDA faced questions from Celtic’s Fan Media on Monday afternoon. CeltsAreHere were in attendance but we were disappointed to learn that Fan Media outlets could only pose one question to one of the three players.
We asked Daizen about the pressures that come with a move to Celtic since it is a World Cup year that Japan can still qualify for. He replied;
“Ever since becoming a pro there’s always pressure, World Cup or Celtic it doesn’t matter. Pressure doesn’t phase me”
Pleasure to talk to the new @CelticFCJPN Bhoys today!
I asked @M_daizen_102 what sort of pressure comes with a move to Celtic since it’s a World Cup year

That is fighting talk from the man himself. Finishing top goal scorer in the J-League last season fans are expecting him to hit the ground running in Scotland.
The forward also has an advantage over his fellow new arrivals, he has recently worked with Ange and knows what is required from the boss.
When Kyogo left Japan, he was the leading goal scorer in the country, at one point he was topping the scoring charts in Japan and Scotland.
The 26-year-old is topping Celtic’s goal charts, just seven goals away from his personal target of 20.
