NEIL LENNON has admitted in his post-match press conference that Kristoffer Ajer is now a big doubt for Ibrox with the player suffering a ground strain during the early stages of the AIK game.

Celtic smashed the Swede’s 6-1 on aggregate and 4-1 on the night but it came at a cost with Celtic’s top defender succumbing to injury.

A groin strain almost 100% rules Ajer out of the game.

There’s better news on Edouard with the Celtic manager confirming the striker came down with cramp and it wasn’t a hamstring injury as first feared.

“Kris has got a groin strain so is very doubtful for Sunday.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“Odsonne should be fine, he came off with a bit of cramp. He’s walking about, it’s not a hamstring thankfully.”

Many fans bemoaned the moment Eddy went down with such a big game on Sunday. The player didn’t have to be on the field at the point he hit the deck. Luckily, it’s only cramp and we will have the big man for the trip across the city.
