It was exactly a month ago when Kristoffer Ajer went off injured in Celtic’s 1-0 Cup victory over St Johnstone.

The Celtic manager was pessimistic at the time and believed the Norweigan would be out for the better part of six weeks.

However, Ajer has surprised many by popping up at Lennoxtown training on Friday apparently ahead of schedule.

The Celtic defender was a first choice pick before going out injured with him and Boyata the centre-back pairing.

Celtic have struggled to keep consistency in their backline so far this season with injuries to key players at key times and even a combination of suspension and injuries this weekend has thrown Celtic’s semi-final plans off.

Ajer back in training is a welcome boost but the Hearts tie comes too early for the youngster.

If he is to get game time in the next week it could well be against the Jambos at Celtic Park the following Saturday.

  1. Good to see him back as it would to see all our players back fit i just hate how all the media outlets and all the has-beens try and there best to put the boot into our players trying to disrupt our team week in week out, best of all the loud mouths that are talking about our players would never get in our team.
Look the time is now for our players to show what they can do lets be BOSS they all watch and think we are gone and we are now a team they all can beat let us show them we are one we are BOSS and we start with hearts and there loud mouth manager Lets do this sunday and next week and put them back in there box.
Lets do this Celtic do it now….

    • Got to agree with you 100%. It’s been constant pressure and fabrication from the media for 6 months now, pretty relentless stuff, and all we need now is for our boys on the pitch to absolutely hammer the mini gers burg this weekend and next. From their we will steam roller the rest of the season…. if we could get a consistent squad for once.
