It’s been probably the biggest turnaround of the season when it comes to opinions on Celtic players. Carl Starfelt has gone from being heavily criticised to badly missed in the space of three or four months.
The Swede had a slower start to his Celtic career, something that coloured a lot of fans view of him after that. The Swede kept his head down and continued on, before long he was putting in some top performances. Even when he was playing well, the fans who had already made their mind up on the defender would pick at his performance for a slack pass or near miss.
Now out the team with an injury, there’s an overwhelming consensus the team is missing the centreback at present.
Starfelt went off against Livingston and will be out until after the international break.
In the two games we’ve played without him since he really hit form, Celtic have conceded 4 goals; 2 against Ferencvaros and 2 against Dundee. Luckily our attacking players are in the mood and have scored seven in those two games to grab both victories.

Really need to play juranovic at r/back + sign a decent left back, ralston going forward fine , guy can’t defend surely ange can see that – Bitton done ok but it won’t last , if its the league we want another midfielder + striker as for the Greek guy come on be honest shocking again.
