Celtic will be without their star defender Christopher Jullien for a number of weeks it has been confirmed by Neil Lennon.
There was hope the Frenchman would start in last weekend’s derby but that evaporated in the eve of the game. Since then, it has gone quiet on the player’s fitness but the Celtic manager cleared things up this afternoon.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon telling his players to hold their heads high despite weekend defeat.
– Edouard still out
– Christie back in squad
– Jullien out for a number of weeks with back problem
– Johnston back in training
– Forrest progressing well@STVSport— Ronnie Charters (@STVRonnie) October 21, 2020
It means Jullien will be out for some pivotal games. Milan on Thursday, Aberdeen on Sunday and Lille away at least.
Celtic still can’t call on the devices if Nir Bitton and Hatem Elhamed who were floored with the virus last week; Eddy is out for the same reason, Forrest is a long term absentee but Mikey Johnston is back in training.
The bhoys will need a big effort inside an empty Celtic Park on Thursday night. Milan are a team on the rise and will be looking to put us to the sword.
If Neil Lennon goes with a back three, Stephen Welsh is likely to start.
