Celtic are facing a potential setback with defender Cameron Carter-Vickers seen leaving Celtic Park in a moon boot following their 3-0 victory over Rangers.

Although Carter-Vickers completed the match, he appeared to be in discomfort towards the end, raising concerns about his fitness.

The silver lining is that Carter-Vickers was able to walk, suggesting that the injury might not be overly severe. However, the timing is less than ideal for Celtic, as they head into a packed schedule post-international break, including matches against Hearts in the league and Slovan Bratislava in their Champions League opener.

Having their big players fit is key for the Hoops.

The international break could serve as crucial recovery time for Carter-Vickers, but Celtic will be eager to have their key defender back in action given the challenges that lie ahead.

Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious and the club has put him in the moon boot as a precaution.
