Yesterday a meeting between the SPFL and officials for all Scottish Clubs took place to discuss the possibilities of what would take place if the season was to be cut short again.

As reported by Daily Mail, this meeting between both was to clarify that the two sides of the situation will ’help each other out’, if the season was forcefully stopped due to Covid-19.

Remembering back to the end of last season, the whole situation was dealt with in an incredibly poor manner between both the clubs and those at the SPFL.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the matter, with certain scenarios ending in clubs taking them to court.

In the end, it came down to a vote, which of course resulted in Celtic becoming Champions once again.

Some concern has started to creep in from clubs about the season, with several players testing positive for the deadly virus or having to self-isolate and has led to games being postponed.

So it seems as though it was a sensible decision to have this meeting to clear a lot of things up that may be unanswered. In the unfortunate event of the season not finalising again, let’s hope that everyone is better prepared to deal with that scenario.
