Celtic will face their Glasgow rivals in the Scottish Cup Fith round on Sunday.

Given we’re yet to beat the newly crowned champions this season, it’s a big game for the Hoops to show they still have one last trophy in them.

One major bit of news coming out of Ibrox this morning is Ryan Jack has been ruled out for the season and will play no part in Sunday’s tie.

Any first team player missing from their squad is a boost to Celtic.

The Hoops need to be confident of going across town and getting a result.

Jack’s absence provides some good news.

However, it’s not good news for Scotland fans because the midfielder will miss the Euro’s and while you won’t catch many Celtic fans giving Jack praise in any jersey, he had been a prominent part of Clarke’s Scotland side.

It leaves the door open for someone else to come into the squad and make a name for themselves.
