KIERAN TIERNEY has told Celtic fans that Odsonne Edouard looks set to play his part on Thursday night against Salzburg with the player back in training since his dead leg on Saturday.

The Frenchman was the recipient of a very bad challenge from former Celtic target Scott McKenna. Pictures and replays show the Frenchman should have won a penalty for his side and McKenna should have been sent off.

However, this didn’t happen, with Bobby Madden telling the Frenchman to get up after the challenge and play on.

Eddy was substituted not long after the tackle – making way for Scott Sinclair who would come on to be the goal hero.

Speaking yesterday, Kieran assured Celtic fans Edouard was good to go.

“He’s fine, he’s back training with us. You saw the tackle.

“Odsonne got lucky because his foot hadn’t been planted. It looked a really sore one, so to have him back on the training ground is great”

Tierney was talking at the launch of Celtic’s new behind the scenes DVD – the making of the double treble which will be out later this month.

The defender playing a big part in that success was given the task of promoting it at Lennoxtown.
