KYOGO FURUHASHI is just at the very beginning of his Celtic career. The man from Japan has made an immediate impact for the Hoops and fans are hoping he can continue to make a big contribution to this season.

The striker has so much energy, pace and knows how to get in behind a stubborn defence.

One thing I think will become a major problem for Celtic and Kyogo this season is the standard of officials running the lines.

I’m predicting Kyogo will have more than a couple of legitimate goals chopped off between now and the end of the season because of his quickness and the official’s inability to keep up with his play.

Talented, quick strikers aren’t rewarded in the SPFL. They are quickly poleaxed by their opponents and given little protection from the referees, getting in behind and making a difference will be key into breaking down teams who set up not to lose.

Ange Postecoglou will likely come to reality Kyogo might have to adapt his runs to make sure they can’t be flagged.

Kyogo is a player who genuinely excites the fans, he was marginally offside against Jablonec on Thursday but his movement, drive and endless energy make him a match made in heaven with Celtic.

  1. Wee Boabie Lennoxtoun was a quick as Kyogo, he also had many a legitimate goal chopped off. His interplay was a delight to Hoops fans of old to watch in full flight. Both he and Jimmie Johnston were a plague to defences both here and all over Europe.
But Jorge Cadette was quick too. And he had goals chopped off for being five yards on-side (hair doos can’t make you offside) mostly at the death star. Blame the apron mob. Now get in some sort of VAR, and none of yer penny pinching ya Sfa hunz.

  2. I have to agree, that we will hav quite a number of goals chalked off( as was at Tynecastle), genuine mistake !!!!!!. And it is time for VAR, Or maybe not as sevco would only get a quarter of goals they score. As was proven ,not once, but twice against Malmö, and not a free mason/orange order referee rule book to be seen!! Funny o?d game ,ain’t it???

  3. Chris, everything that M. Ross cuts’n’pastes is clickbait pish, to be fair. That’s the only purpose of this site, these aren’t journalists or writers, their only job is to generate site clicks for their advertisers, so they run with vague or misleading headlines to do this. The only thing sadder is us, the folk that fall for it…
