BRENDAN RODGERS has told Celtic fans they need to be patient as he waits on news of signings coming in before the end of the window in August.

The Celtic manager seemed cool as he spoke about the lack of activity so far but was certain the rights signings would come.

What he was very positive about is the fact he has managed to secure the long term futures of the likes of Tom Rogic and bringing Edouard in has been a massive boost.

“I’d always have liked to have more in by now but the most important thing was ensuring we kept the players we wanted to stay. The likes of Tom Rogic and these guys.

“Absolutely for sure we need to strengthen, and that will come. It’s only in certain specific areas, it’s not a total overhaul.”

Speaking about John McGinn again, the gaffer had nothing new to report, other than he hopes it gets resolved with both clubs still in talks, but it’s out with his and Neil Lennon’s hands.

“Between Neil and I, it’s out of our hands. “It’s with the clubs. Hopefully for everyone’s sake it can be resolved, but it’s above me.”
