The season is almost over and for Celtic fans, it can’t come quick enough. But for some of the Celtic players, this summer could be very exciting.

The Euros are almost upon us and Scotland will take their place in a major tournament for the first time in over two decades.

We have a situation where guys like Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie are guaranteed to be there but two men who aren’t guaranteed; Leigh Griffiths and David Turnbull have just been handed a major boost.

The Times report UEFA have extended the 23 man squad to a 26 – allowing three more players into every squad.

David and Leigh must have been on the cusp of the squad at 23 spaces but surely they make it in now.

Turnbull hasn’t been part of the Scotland men’s national team during the qualifiers but he’s been Celtic’s best player since making the breakthrough this season. It would be criminal if he didn’t make it.

Leigh needs to show something in the last three games for Celtic to remind Clarke what he can do.
