Marseille interim boss Nasser Larguet has given renewed optimism to Celtic loan bhoy Olivier Ntcham with the player yet to make a start for the French club since moving at the end of January.

After a tumultuous start where Ntcham’s arrival brought Andres Vilas Boas and the board’s tensions to a head — promoting the resignation of the manager, Oli has not found his feet in the team.

On-loan from Celtic, we’re not sure if the French side have an obligation pin purchase Oli or not this summer but right now, if there’s no obligation, he could very well return to Glasgow.

Speaking about the midfielder, Nasser Larguet believes Oli has his part to play in the coming weeks and months and stressed the professionalism of the Rome conquered is first class.

“Today, he’s suffering a bit because of the good health of Boubacar Kamara and Pape Gueye.” Larguet told RMC Sport.

“But it’s true he’s got as much chance of playing as the others. He’s a real professional. A real boost for the team.

“Every player has a role to play over the coming games. It’s true that Olivier Ntcham is on his way. Honestly, he’s a great guy, works a lot.

“He’s done a lot of extra training sessions. He came to a few extras because of that period of not playing. He’s a real professional”.

Ntcham didn’t get much game time under Neil Lennon and it’s clear he was manoeuvring for a transfer away for some time before that.

On his day, Ntcham can be a game changer, some fans believe it’s hard to catch him on his day when he’s under motivated. While he is a good player, Oli is of no use to Celtic if his hearts not in kt.
