Celtic won 3-2 in Budapest to guarantee European football beyond Christmas on Thursday evening.
The Hoops never fell behind in the tie and despite Ferencvaros pegging the bhoys back in the first half, we took control in the second.
It should’ve been a comfortable end to the game for Ange Postecoglou’s men but a goal late on from the home side made it a bit nervier than it needed to be.
The attacking players we’ve brought in have been a revelation BUT we have to give a special mention to the man between the sticks who is every bit a top-class signing for the club.
Joe Hart made some pivotal stops and even made a great save just before Celtic broke up the park and scored their second.
Not only that, but the Englishman is dragging up the standards by going through his teammates when they are slack and cause errors.
Throughout the game, Joe was very vocal and wasn’t shy about letting the bhoys in front of them know what he thought if Ferencvaros managed to get a shot away or score. When the second goal went in, you could see Joe going berserk at his teammates.
It was a fantastic strike but one that could have been avoided if we closed the space.
These Celtic fans also noticed Joe.
Joe Hart the silent change this season ?

How great is it seeing Joe Hart go crazy when a player or players mess up

Everyone can argue who’s been the most important signing under Ange but you can’t overlook the contribution of Joe Hart thus far ?

Joe Hart getting ripped into players throughout the game is magic to see. He’ll continue to raise standards and expectations; I can’t believe how underwhelmed I was when he signed.

We conceded poor goals last season and played some horrible defensive football. We rarely watched any of our goalkeepers show that kind of fire.
The great thing is though. Joe’s not on a loan to buy. Like usual
