It’s another frustrating moment for Celtic midfielder Marian Shved as the Ukranian FA today confirmed the player has had to drop out of the side due to an ankle injury picked up in training.

Shved hasn’t got his Celtic career properly up and running yet with his game time very limited. When he did come on in the dying embers of a Champions League qualifier the player did get on the scoresheet.

The Ukrainian FA told SunSport: “Unfortunately, Marian Shved has returned to his club after suffering an ankle injury and will not travel to Lithuania.”

Since then, he’s struggled to get into the matchday squad never mind the starting XI.

International football was a chance for the player to get some game time and exercise his club frustrations. However, that won’t happen now with the player succumbing to an ankle injury.

Hopefully the player won’t be out for too long and he continues to push Neil Lennon into making a decision.

Celtic fans are desperate to see Marian get a run in the side.
